AADMD Launches Coronavirus Center

A new site to share resources & knowledge, during the COVID-19 pandemic.

AADMD set up a Coronavirus Center as a resource and hub for knowledge sharing for individuals, caregivers, and, in particular, health care workers serving people with Special Needs/ IDD (Intellectual & Development Disabilities).

CARING FOR PEOPLE WITH SPECIAL NEEDS HAS UNIQUE CHALLENGES — especially, during a pandemic. AADMD is here to answer your IDD & Coronavirus-related questions.

  • How do I prepare for COVID-19 in the disability community?

  • How do I practice social distancing with someone with IDD?

  • When do I wear a surgical mask? N95? Or Face shield?

  • What’s my role as the DSP (Direct Support Professional)?

  • Should I ask about the pneumonia vaccine for my patient?
