Sydnee Chavis, DMD, MS

Dr. Sydnee Chavis, DMD is a Harvard School of Dental Medicine graduate whose career has been defined by a commitment to making dental care accessible for those who need it most. After completing her residency at the University of Michigan Health System and serving on their faculty, she joined the University of Maryland Dental School in the division of Special Care, where she teaches and trains dentists to confidently treat patients with intellectual, developmental, and medical complexities — including those undergoing organ transplantation and cancer treatment.

Beyond the clinic and classroom, Dr. Chavis holds a Master's in Epidemiology and Clinical Research and actively pursues translational research to improve oral health outcomes for underserved patient populations.
