Holly E. Brown DNP, RN, PMHNP-BC, PMHCS
Holly E. Brown, DNP, RN, PMHNP-BC, is Executive Director of the Golisano Institute for Developmental Disability Nursing, where she works to advance nursing education, practice, and research focused on improving care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Through her leadership and commitment to interprofessional collaboration, Dr. Brown advocates for positive change and more equitable healthcare for this historically underserved population.
Dr. Brown is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Child/Adolescent Psychiatric-Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist. She is also a New York State-licensed Nurse Practitioner of Psychiatry and Registered Professional Nurse.
Drawing on her expertise in psychiatric and mental health nursing, Dr. Brown leads efforts to strengthen the healthcare workforce’s ability to understand and address the unique needs of people with developmental disabilities. Her work emphasizes collaboration across disciplines and the development of more inclusive, responsive, and person-centered approaches to healthcare.
