Report on wellbeing, health and quality of life of adults living with disabilities in Delaware released
The Delaware Division of Developmental Disabilities Services released a report on the health, wellbeing, and quality of life of adults living with disabilities in Delaware entitled Delaware Health Status Report for Adults with Disabilities. It identifies potential disparities in the health and wellbeing between individuals with various types of disabilities and the general Delaware population.
The report, funded by a CDC-funded cooperative agreement, is result of partnerships with several of the Division's sister agencies in Delaware Health and Social Services, the Delaware Developmental Disabilities Council, the Delaware ARC, the State Council for Individuals With Disabilities, and the University of Delaware's Center for Disabilities Studies and Center for Applied Demography and Survey Research.
The Delaware Health Status Report for Adults with Disabilities is intended to serve as an informational tool for state agencies, community organizations, healthcare providers, policy makers, people with disabilities and their families, and the general public to inform policy and practice about health promotion and prevention of secondary health conditions in people with disabilities.
